The order that started with a radiator and a damper
In September 2022, I approved a $3,200 order for 250 stamped steel brackets. The drawing looked clean, we had a physical sample of the damper body, and the deadline was comfortable. I signed off on it on a Tuesday. Two weeks later, that same order cost us $4,790 and a chunk of trust.
The job came from a radiator repair Clinton shop that we’d worked with before. The owner called me while he was diagnosing a customer’s car.
